Keep Fayetteville Beautiful

Keep Fayetteville Beautiful is an Affiliate of Keep Arkansas Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful.  While it includes a variety of programs and opportunities for community contribution toward the goal of keeping Fayetteville, Arkansas, a beautiful city in our Natural State, this program’s primary focus is litter prevention and abatement, recycling, waste reduction, beautification, and education.

To meet Fayetteville’s goals for beautification of our city, the City of Fayetteville offers a variety of programs and opportunities for residents and businesses to get involved.  Working together, we can keep Fayetteville beautiful.  Below are volunteer programs provided by the City of Fayetteville that help keep Fayetteville beautiful:

Utility Box Beautification

The City of Fayetteville is actively involved with programs that bring public art to our community, which adds much to the beautification of Fayetteville. This project is managed by The Keep Fayetteville Beautiful Board of Directors along with the City of Fayetteville.

The City of Fayetteville has been beautifying our community through the efforts of local artists who have been turning City of Fayetteville utility boxes into art.

Artists can participate in this program to display their art on utility boxes by submitting existing work or new work to the Keep Fayetteville Beautiful Board of Directors.  This project is open to all artists and artist teams, including high school and university students. All applicants, without regard to race, sex, religion, nationality, origin, sexual orientation, or disability will be considered.

This is a volunteer project, in which artists donate their talents to beautify Fayetteville by giving the community art that celebrates recycling, nature, or historic facts.  Funds allotted to this project are for supplies only.

The City of Fayetteville seeks proposals from artists for this program. Artists may submit already-existing work or a proposal for new work by filling out a form located on this page to the left-hand side.

The City reserves the right to approve or not approve any proposal under this program.
