Run for the Parks!
Get out those running shoes and head to our beautiful green spaces to show appreciation for Fayetteville's parks & trails! This race has something for all runners with three distance options: Long (8.5 miles), Medium (4.5 miles), or Short (2.5 miles).
When: Sunday, November 19, 2017
Where: All races will utilize the backbone of our trail system (Clear Creek, Scull Creek, Frisco Trails) and finish in Walker Park.
Long Distance (8.5 mile) Start: Lake Fayetteville (9:00am)
Medium Distance (4.5 mile) Start: Gordon Long Park (9:30am)
Short Distance (2.5 mile) Start: Wilson Park (10:00am)
Who: Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities
What: Run for the Parks is a chance for runners and walkers to show their support for the City of Fayetteville parks and trails! With several distance options and a festive finish area - we hope this race can find the runner hiding in everyone. Shuttles will be available at Walker Park (prior to the run) to take runners to each starting park.
Prizes will be awarded to the Overall Male and Overall Female Finisher of each distance AND to the Top Male and Female Finisher of each age group for each distance. Age Groups: <15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 >70
Basic Route Maps for each course can be found here - there will be a water/aid station along the 8.5 and 4.5 mile course.

If you are looking to get involved, we have plenty of opportunities for you! Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and duties will vary from event set up, participant check in, water stations, course monitors, and more. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if interested.
