The Neighborhood Interest Forum is a group brought together by Mayor Lioneld Jordan, initially made up of a number of individuals from neighborhoods across town who expressed interest in being involved as city growth and change might affect their neighborhoods. The Mayor would like to make sure there is a forum for discussion among neighborhood spokespeople. Some of the interests identified in the initial meeting include: appropriate infill (scalability and compatibility of the developments), tree preservation, drainage, concerns about homelessness or low income housing, deer population, safety, traffic calming, walkability, etc. The committee meets monthly.
