Call for Artist Activation Proposals

The City of Fayetteville’s Arts and Culture Division seeks artists and performers to implement a variety of art activations during April, May and June 2023.

Individual Project Budget:

 $500 per activation, with a $350 material stipend possible. Multiple activations available.

Opportunity

The City of Fayetteville invites artists of all kinds to implement an activation, class, performance or installation in the Lower Ramble during the months of April, May and June. The activation should occur over most of a four-hour period or present an equivalent or greater display period of passive activation. A passive activation or installation must not extend longer than 45 days.
 
The goal is to add artistic activations throughout the Lower Ramble that engage a diverse public audience with locations in the Lower Ramble park. 

Theme

The theme is open, but the content must be appropriate for the fall season outdoors and for all members of the public.

We will accept submissions from all disciplines, but are particularly interested in funding projects in the categories below. 

• Performance/Music 
 (Music, theatre, dance, storytelling, soundscapes, pop-up performances, happenings, etc.)

Education
 (Interactive or participatory projects)

• Visual Art 
 (Painting, sculpture, collage, digital. fabric arts, kinetic, etc.)  

• Wellness/Fitness 
  (Yoga, meditation, tai chi, etc.)
