Emergency Manager

I started my career at the Fayetteville Fire Department December 3rd, 2001. A second-generation firefighter with the city, my father hired on with the Fayetteville FD on August 7th, 1978 (three days after my birth) and retired January 1st, 2002, as a Captain. My brother worked for 22 years with the Fayetteville FD and recently retired in 2023, as a Captain. My father, brother and I were lucky enough to have the ability to work together for a short time her at the FFD. I began my firefighter journey as a child, growing up in the Fayetteville FD stations but officially in August of 1996 as a volunteer firefighter with the Round Mountain VFD. Graduated from the Arkansas Fire Academy in 1997. I have been the Fire Chief at the Round Mountain VFD since 2007. I have been a Deputy Coordinator for the Washington County Department of Emergency Management since 2005. I have been a Team Leader for the Washington County Technical Rescue Team since it was created in 2006 and a Rescue Team Manager for the Arkansas Task Force 1 since it was created in 2011.

In June of 2023, I retired as a Fire Captain in the Training Division, with 22 years of service. I took on the role as the Emergency Manager on June 26th, 2023. I look forward to building a new division within the department as the City of Fayetteville’s first Emergency Manager.
