The City of Fayetteville Housing Rehabilitation and Repair Program provides housing-related services to qualified, low-to-moderate income individuals and families in order to preserve and improve owner-occupied residential homes.
The goal of the Housing Rehabilitation is to create a more livable home environment by providing and maintaining housing that is safe, secure, accessible, healthy, energy efficient, and affordable.
Housing Rehabilitation Corrections
The program aims to rehabilitate homes that are below current plumbing, electrical, heating, and energy efficiency standards.
Examples of available Housing Rehabilitation improvements include:
- Electrical
- Flooring
- HVAC
- Lead Paint abatement
- Plumbing
- Roof and Gutters
- Siding
- Windows
Qualification Process
The following are guidelines for qualification for the Housing Rehabilitation Program:
- Applicant(s) must live within the Fayetteville City limits
- Applicant(s) must own and have occupied the residence for at least one year prior to application
- Applicant(s) must not be delinquent on property taxes
- Applicant(s) must fall within the low-to-moderate income guidelines (PDF) provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
