Notification for Sale of Organically Based Fertilizer
Procedures for Sale
The City of Fayetteville is pleased to announce the offering of dried municipal biosolids fertilizer for bulk purchase. This organically based fertilizer is Class A/Exceptional Quality Biosolids, as defined by the 40 CFR 503 regulations.
Be advised that the commitment date for fertilizer purchases from the City of Fayetteville Biosolids Management Site will be Friday, September 1, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. local time. The commitment will only be taken via telephone by calling 479-587-7128.
The prices for the fertilizer are set for the period of September 01, 2023 to February 29, 2024 as follows:
- Small Bulk (1/4 ton to 1 ton) – $80 per ton (minimum purchase of $20, regardless of the purchase amount)
- Medium Bulk (> 1 ton to 20 tons) – $50 per ton
- Large Bulk (> 20 tons to 100 tons) – $20 per ton
Please note, due to equipment outages, fulfillment of customer’s commitment may be delayed.

Notification for Hay Sale
Procedures for Sale
The City of Fayetteville will be accepting commitments for the 2023 hay production on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 8:30 a.m., local time. The commitment will only be taken via telephone by calling 479-587-7128, following the directions described below.
Commitments will not be taken until 8:30 AM, on a first call first serve basis. Requests can be made in tons. The maximum commitment is 200 tons per customer. New customers will be allowed a maximum of 50 tons. After the Commitment List has been filled, caller’s name and request will be added to the Standby List, on a first call first served basis. The Standby List will be utilized when the Commitment List has been satisfied.
Due to the nature of the business, the City will strive to meet the commitment tonnage, but make no guarantees. The maximum price for hay is set at $120.00 per ton for 2023. Customers will be notified when their commitment is available. Barn storage, if available, will be $10.00 per ton.
The hours for hay removal from the fields or hay stored in the barns will be Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., except for holidays, or scheduled obligations. For further inquiries, please contact Amanda Beilfuss at 479-575-8220.
