Sections of Gregory Park Trails to be Closed for Maintenance
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark — Sections of the Gregory Park trails will be closed to cyclists and pedestrians for repairs and improvements beginning Tuesday, April 22. The work is expected to take about two weeks to complete, weather permitting. Ozark Off Road Cyclists (OORC) is partnering with the City of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department to make the needed improvements. OORC is also working with Progressive Trail Design, who will have staff on site during this period to address drainage and erosion issues along the trails.
Signs will be posted notifying visitors of trail closures. The City encourages park visitors to pay attention to posted signage and to continue to practice social distancing and wear face coverings when using bike and walking trails. It is also important for visitors to avoid using wet and/or muddy trails, which contributes to trail damage and erosion.
