RESCHEDULED: Feb. 16 City Council Meeting
Fayetteville, ARK – Tonight’s Fayetteville City Council meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 18 at 5:30 p.m. All agenda items previously planned for review tonight by the council will be taken up on Thursday.
Mayor Jordan made the decision to reschedule the City Council meeting because of several extreme weather-related considerations that could cause some or all attendees to lose access to the meeting, including the potential for rolling blackouts and interruptions in broadband service.
Additionally, City offices are closed under the Inclement Weather Policy all day Tuesday, Feb. 16. With only essential staff present, the City is not able to broadcast public meetings to FGTV, YouTube or other live channels the public typically use to view the meeting outside of Zoom.
An official meeting announcement will be issued as soon as possible by the Fayetteville City Clerk Treasurer’s Office, and the public meeting calendar will be updated to reflect the schedule change.
If ongoing winter weather creates challenges to holding the rescheduled meeting on Thursday, a public announcement will be shared by no later than 3 p.m. that day announcing alternate plans.
