Mud Creek Trail Detour at Vantage Dr.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— Work has begun on the Sain Street extension project, which will include a new bridge over Mud Creek and a street extension from Joyce Blvd. to Front Street. To complete this work, a section of Mud Creek Trail has been closed with a detour toward Joyce Blvd. to Kitty Creek Trail.

A sewer improvement project, which started on Monday, March 15, will require closure of the Kitty Creek Trail for approximately three weeks.  This will result in an additional detour along the south sidewalks of Joyce Blvd. to Bellefont Blvd. through the Proctor & Gamble parking lot to return to Mud Creek Trail.

Trail users can follow the posted detour signs and should use caution when navigating the detour route.

The Sain Street extension project is one of the street improvements funded through the transportation bond approved by voters in April, 2019.  For more information, visit https://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/3598/Sain-Street-Extension.
