Water service restored following line repairs
Conservation requested until service tanks recover

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The residents in the area of Sharon Street and Pine Avenue are back in service following a water main break on Monday evening. A small number of households will be required to boil their water until bacterial samples can be taken and analyzed. Those households will be notified directly by the City.

City water storage tanks are slowly recovering and should be back to normal within 24 hours. Until that time, the City is asking residents and businesses to continue to conserve water.

The ruptured pipe has been isolated from the system and continues to drain the residual water contained inside. Final repairs should be completed by Wednesday, Sept. 22, and cleanup and restoration will begin in a few days after the area dries.
