Herbicide Notification and Vegetation Management on City Property

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In accordance with the City of Fayetteville’s Vegetation Management Policy and Procedures, employees from the Parks and Recreation Department will apply Razor Pro (glyphosate), Drive XL8 (quinclorac), Aqua Master (glyphosate), Pendulum aqua cap (pendimethalin), Cool Power (dicamba), Prodiamine 65WDG (prodiamine), Solitare (quinclorac), Plateau (imazapic), and Primo Maxx (trinexapac-ethyl) to City properties as needed through November 30, 2017 for weed control on athletic fields, property perimeters, along fences, and to control invasive plant species.

The properties scheduled to receive broadcast product applications are White River Baseball Complex, Walker Park, Kessler Mountain Regional Park, Lake Fayetteville Park, Gary Hampton Softball Complex, and Lewis Soccer Complex. Spot-applications will occur along the trail system, in City-owned landscaped areas, and in plant restoration areas within parks and along trails. These areas include Wilson Park, Bryce Davis Park, Gulley Park, Walker Park, Ridgeway View Park, Lake Fayetteville Park, Lake Sequoyah Park, and Lake Wilson Park as well as various areas along the trail system.

Prior to application – signs will be posted to notify the public of application date with the trade and common names of herbicides to be applied.
