FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The southbound outer lane (closest to sidewalk) of College Avenue, between Cleburn Street and Trenton Avenue, will be closed 24 hours per day from Monday, August 28 through Friday, September 8
 
The continuous closure is necessary so crews can make drainage and sidewalk improvements in the area where Scull Creek flows underneath the roadway. Existing curb and drain inlets will be removed and new drain inlets and sidewalk installed. During the day, crews will work in the outer lane; at night the lane will be too narrow to safely allow traffic.
