Animal Shelter to Host Adoption Spooktacular!

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fayetteville Animal Services is collaborating with Champions’ Club Apartments to host “A Ghoul’s Best Friend: Adoption Spooktacular” on Saturday, October 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the shelter. Champions’ Club will be sponsoring the first $500 worth of adoption fees that day and the shelter will be running a special fee for remaining pets: cats will be $10 and dogs will be $31!

“We love working with local businesses to promote our shelter pets and to help find loving homes,” stated shelter superintendent, Justine Lentz. Shelter staff will be dressing up for the holiday and adopters are welcome to dress up too – just not too scary because we don’t want to frighten the pets!

All of the available dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, prior to going to their new forever home. Animal Services will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 28 and all the pets will be available on a first come, first serve basis so shelter staff recommends that adopters get there early. Animal Services is also encouraging people to fill out their adoption applications in advance so the staff has time to get the application approved before the event. Applications are available at the shelter (1640 S. Armstrong Avenue) in Fayetteville or on the City’s website: www.fayetteville-ar.gov/petadoption. The shelter closes at 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
