Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the Fayetteville Police Department made two arrests in relation to a shooting that occurred last night in west Fayetteville.
On Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at approximately 7:58 PM, Fayetteville Police responded to a possible shooting in the area of 1234 N. Boxley Avenue.  Officers located a male with a gunshot wound, and he was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.   
During the investigation, detectives identified the suspects as Jon Austin GALYEAN, age 22, of Fayetteville and Cory Daniel MARTINEZ, age 23, of Fayetteville, and arrest warrants were obtained for both suspects. 
On Thursday, January 18, 2018, at approximately 1:00 PM, the Fayetteville Police Department served the arrest warrants at 100 Tourmaline Way, apartment six.  Both suspects were found and placed under arrest.  GALYEAN was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Robbery, Battery First Degree, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.  MARTINEZ was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Robbery, and Battery First Degree.
