Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today the arrest of an individual for trafficking methamphetamine.
Over the course of the past week, detectives with the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force received information about a shipment of methamphetamine being transported into the Northwest Arkansas area.
During the investigation, detectives were able to identify JOSE MANZANARES, age 27, of Houston, Texas as the courier. On January 26, 2018, detectives located MANZANARES in Fayetteville, and they found approximately 2.2 pounds of methamphetamine in his belongings. MANZANARES was arrested for Trafficking of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). This investigation is ongoing.
The Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force is comprised of officers representing the Farmington, Fayetteville, Greenland, Goshen, Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Springdale and West Fork Police Departments and deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
