RE: SHOOTING INVESTIGATION
Fayetteville Police Chief Mike Reynolds announced today the Fayetteville Police Department has made two arrests in relation to a shooting in east Fayetteville.
On Friday, September 6, 2019, at approximately 1:41 PM, Fayetteville Police responded to a shooting at 780 East Bryan Lane. The caller advised our 911 dispatcher a male had sustained a gunshot wound to his neck. At approximately 1:45 PM, Fayetteville Patrol arrived on scene. The victim was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Over the past three weeks, investigators have been developing leads, conducting interviews and executing search warrants.
On October 1, 2019, at approximately 6:00 PM detectives arrested two juveniles. The first juvenile was charged with, ATTEMPTED CAPITAL MURDER, TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE, AGGRAVATED ROBBERY and MINOR IN POSSESSION OF A HANDGUN. The second juvenile was arrested for ACCOMPLICE TO ATTEMPTED CAPITAL MURDER, ACCOMPLICE TO AGGRAVATED ROBBERY, and TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.
